Starting a Youtube channel

Yup, I finally did it...

For years, yes, literally years, my dream has been to launch my very own Youtube channel. I've always had this vision of sharing my knowledge and ideas with the world, whether it wanted to hear them or not. For one reason or another, my life never seemed to line up with this passion. But I feel like now is as good of a time as ever to give it a try and get my word out there...

My photography career was partially thanks to Youtube. I've been watching Youtube videos since 2006, which means through high school and college I was watching my favorite photographers and I progressed as one myself. For those of you who don't know me, I'm self taught; I didn't depend on someone teaching me, I just went out with a camera and learned from my mistakes. Youtube was the only guidance I had.

How do you shoot in manual mode? What's RAW mean? How expensive is that nice camera? Why do they have bigger lenses than me? How do you make money? How do you get models? On and on and on...

And so I learned. But as I spent those hours pressing that little red button, I noticed one thing: I couldn't find one decent, comprehensive, straight-from the basics, beginner, tell it as it is channel.

Sure I found great videos and great channels (I will link my favorites below) but one never had it all. I found myself lusting for more when I discovered each and every channel. Wasn't there someone out there who just started from the beginning, told it how it is, and explained every step to becoming a photog? Not really.

It was then that I decided: it'll be me.

So here I am, starting the long journey of doing what I set out to do years ago. I'm so incredibly excited, proud, and scared. I don't know if I'll be a success, I doubt it. And I don't care. Really, I don't. I just want to make videos. I want to give advice, tips, reviews, and if just one person enjoys my video, I'll have succeeded.

So what the hell? Here I go. I already have some cool content up. It's not the best, but it's a start. The only thing I can promise is there's plenty more fun stuff to come.

So what do you say? Some along with me on my journey to becoming a Youtuber and subscribe to my channel today. The support would be seriously appreciated, and you won't regret it!!!
